An electric dab rig replaces the torch-heated setup with a battery-powered electronic heating system. Instead of torching a nail, electronic controls set the temperature and vaporize the concentrate. On the Aerix, that means a 22 mm ceramic chamber adjustable from 200°F to 700°F, plus a water-filtered glass top.
Most are. There is no torch to refill and no banger to heat by hand — you load concentrate, set a temperature, and wait for the device to reach it. Models with presets are simpler; a full temperature range gives you more control. The Aerix uses a single button with a display for both temperature and battery level.
Expect roughly 15–30 sessions depending on temperature — low-temperature sessions draw less power than high-temperature ones. Battery capacity in mAh is a weaker signal than session count, so check both. Confirm the device charges over USB-C, which is now standard.
Swab the ceramic chamber after each session once it has cooled, and clean removable parts weekly — never soak the base or heat alcohol. Atomizers are consumables and are replaceable on most e-rigs; confirm that parts are sold for your exact model before buying.
No. Electric dab rigs are built for concentrates — wax, shatter, rosin, live resin. Dry herb needs a different chamber and temperature range; flower in a concentrate chamber scorches and fouls the atomizer.
Warranty terms vary by brand. BOMB covers the device for one year against manufacturing defects and the atomizer for 30 days. Battery degradation, water damage, and physical damage to cords or ports are excluded, and claims need proof of purchase
